Client: Massillon Museum

Website – Redesign

When MassMu came to us, their site was very limited in functionality and was not mobile friendly or responsive, so our task was to create a more user friendly site that embodied the personality of the museum. To accomplish this I filmed and edited a short video tour for the hero panel and added diagonal and overlapping visual elements to reference the styling of their logo. I sketched the design partly in photoshop, then front end developed the demo site in Bootstrap Studio. The demo site was then evaluated for accessibility and revised as needed before building out several more page types and then handing off the final build to developers. Paul Brown Museum – Timeline Exhibit Design

After a remodel at their existing museum, MassMu wanted to create a permanent exhibit in their new space as tribute to their hometown hero: Paul Brown. This project was a huge endeavor that involved the expertise of many, but my role was to create a cohesive design that showcased various well known football teams that spanned Brown’s career, while also documenting the milestones of both his life and those of the Massillon Tigers football team. I input all content provided by the museum curators, designed the entire layout in Adobe InDesign (working closely with George Laurence of Museum Acrylics, who crafted the insets for all artifacts displayed) and oversaw the final production of the wall graphics and their installation.

Website – New Design

Once the new exhibit was completed, MassMu wanted a microsite to acknowledge this exhibit as its own museum within MassMu that would cater specifically to football fanatics and historians. Due to the museum’s proximity to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, tourism advertising was directed to this page for tracking and a tailored visitor experience that paired well with other venues tourists may be visiting. This site also features a video in the hero panel that I edited using historical footage of Paul Brown, and utilizes the same aesthetic as the physical timeline exhibit.
